So, we like dogs. We’ve had them before.
Wags was a cocker spaniel.
Scratch was a mixed breed.

And we have boarded other family animals: Rena, and Augie and Jimmy,
and Norman.
Even, briefly, a couple of cats (Leroy and Pepper}.
So we come across as an animal friendly household.
Luis, however, is a different situation. A friend who dogsits came across him in a difficult situation where the family status was changing and Luis was suffering for it. He asked if we could board Luis for a little while until things settled out. And so he has been ln our care for a month now.

Luis is 10 years old and weighs 6.2 pounds. He is apparently a Pomeranian-Shih Tzu-Chihuahua-?? mix. Cute but less like a dog than any other dog I have met. Won’t chase a ball or play tug. Shivers a lot. The latter has improved since we discovered he had back pain and got him some treatment but he is still pretty timid.
