This is mainly a test page to see if I have gotten the blog under some control.  But I will try to put in some real information also.

We have several buildings as part of the church campus.  The one above is what we call the Sanctuary.  We are looking at the building directly at doors which lead to a hallway and the hallway leads to the Narthex.

This is a view from the top.  The hallway leads from the far right to the center of the building.  The red X shows where I dropped thru from the attic to the main floor.

attic

The attic looks a lot like this, at least before I dropped thru.  Key to the city is to step on the boards, not on the fluffy stuff in between.  I was transtioning  between two levels and the item I was using for a step rolled out from under me and dropped me straight down between the boards.

As far as I can tell, I dropped straight down with my arms up.  My only visible wound was a skinned knuckle.  There were some bruises on the inside of my arms.  No significant pain.  But I couldn’t get my lower legs to stand me up.

I didn’t have my phone but could reach Harold and a friend via the internet,  Rescue Squad hustled me off to UVA hospital.

knee

Diagnosis, asbestos I understand it, was that I had ripped loose the quadriceps tendon on both knees (and also  broken a bone at the ankle on my right leg).
